FX Replay is a browser-based platform for backtesting and practising trading on real historical market data. Replay the market candle by candle, place simulated trades and review your results, all without risking real money.

Who it's for

You are… FX Replay helps you…
New to trading Learn to read charts and build your first strategy
An experienced trader Test and refine a strategy before trading it live
Preparing for a prop firm challenge Practise under real challenge rules

Think of it as a flight simulator for trading: repeat market conditions as often as you like and learn faster than waiting for setups in the live market.

What you can do

  • Replay the market: pick any date and play price forward one candle at a time or at your own speed, without seeing what comes next.
  • Backtest your strategy: create a session, choose your assets and dates, and place simulated trades with stop losses and take profits.
  • Review your results: every trade is saved to your Backtesting Journal, with notes, tags and screenshots. Analytics show your win rate, drawdown and more.
  • Track your live trading: the Live Journal imports trades from your connected trading account, so you can review them in one place.
  • Mentor: an AI assistant that helps you learn FX Replay and answers your questions. Open it from the icon in the bottom-right corner of the app.
  • Prop Firm Simulator: practise under the rules of a prop firm challenge.
  • Battles: compete with other traders in timed trading challenges.
  • Indicators and FXR Script: use built-in indicators or build your own.
  • Economic Calendar: see major news events on your chart.

Markets and data

Backtest Forex, Futures, Stocks, Crypto, Indices, Metals, Energy, Bonds and Agricultural markets on real historical data. Which assets you can use depends on your plan. See the full list on our Markets page.

What FX Replay is not

  • Not a broker. You can't place real trades or deposit money through FX Replay.
  • Not a signal service. It doesn't tell you which trades to take.
