How to Use Bar-by-Bar Rewind

Made a mistake or want to review price action? Bar-by-Bar Rewind lets you step backward one candle at a time with a single click or shortcut.

Unlike the full Replay Mode, which required right-clicking and jumping back manually, this tool gives you a faster, smoother way to rewind just a few candles — without losing your place or breaking your flow.

⚡ Why Bar-by-Bar Rewind Matters

Backtesting isn’t always linear — sometimes you need to pause, rewind a couple steps, and re-evaluate.

Before Bar-by-Bar Rewind

• Rewinding required right-clicking and using full Replay Mode.
• This often meant losing your place.
• It felt clunky for small adjustments.

With Bar-by-Bar Rewind

• You can move back one candle at a time.
• Price action, indicators, and trades all adjust instantly.
• Your testing momentum stays intact.

• Entered too soon

⚙️ How It Works

1. Enable Replay Mode in Settings

• Go to Account Settings
• Toggle Replay Mode → ON
• This activates the rewind/forward step buttons in your backtesting UI.

2. Click the Rewind Button

• Located on the Price Skipper bar, to the left of Play/Pause.
• Each click = one candle backward.

3. Watch the Chart Update

• Price, indicators, drawings, and trade visibility adjust instantly.
• Resume forward play anytime to continue your session.

📝 Important Notes

• Works best with one chart and one asset selected.
• May lag with multiple charts/assets open (optimizations coming).
• The rewind step follows your Price Skipper interval:
  • Example: If set to 1h, each click rewinds one hour candle.
  • If set to 15m, each click rewinds one 15-minute candle.
